Group Sustainability CoordinatorBased in Southampton - Hybrid Working (2 days a week in the office)Up to £34k plus package

We are working with a leading Construction & Regeneration Contractor to recruit an organised and driven Group Sustainability Coordinator for their Southampton office. You will assist the Sustainability Department in delivering its key objectives: improving the environmental impact of our client and raising awareness among key stakeholders.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Working alongside our client to ensure they meet their Sustainability KPIs and contractual obligations, focusing on five key areas: biodiversity, carbon reduction, waste reduction, awareness, and procurement
  • Identifying opportunities and initiatives to benefit the local environment and managing projects from conception to completion
  • Reporting on client emissions and identifying reduction initiatives
  • Working with the Sustainability Manager to strategise high-level reduction methods and ensure we stay on track to achieve Net-Zero by 2050
  • Reporting monthly on waste generation
  • Creating content to raise awareness of environmental calendar events such as National Tree Week, E-Waste Day, and Green Careers Week
  • Identifying cost-saving initiatives during the material procurement stage

Key Skills / Experience:

  • A solid understanding of sustainability, environmental issues, and the impact of the built environment
  • Ability to network, build relationships with, and influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of audiences
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Confident delivering presentations to small groups
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Relevant degree or work experience in sustainability or a related field
  • Experience in data reporting
  • Willingness to travel across the UK to support procurement functions and stakeholder engagement
  • Innovative mindset
