Events Account Manager- Southampton - Hybrid role - £35,000-£37,500 - Full time hours Monday to Friday Contract or Permanent Position available

Are you passionate about events and account management? Our client is seeking a dedicated professional to manage existing exhibitors and secure new ones through the allocation and sale of exhibition space at their premier events, including their flagship show in Southampton. This role demands strong account management, proactive sales skills, and a knack for problem-solving, especially in floorplan design and space optimisation.

Events Account Manager key responsibilities:

  • Selling and Allocating Exhibition Space
  • Allocate and sell exhibition space at our client's events.
  • Identify and secure new exhibitors while maintaining relationships with existing ones.
  • Achieve revenue targets for each event as outlined in the annual P&L.
  • Increase customer satisfaction and loyalty through effective communication and support.
  • Conduct proactive sales calls (no cold calling), meetings, and relationship-building activities.
  • Handle exhibitor issues professionally, ensuring smooth event planning and execution.
  • Manage and optimise floor plans, ensuring effective space utilisation.
  • Continuously enhance the sales process to improve exhibitor engagement.
  • Provide insights and feedback to refine event sales strategies.

What Our Client is Looking For:

  • Strong sales and account management experience.
  • Exhibition/event sales background advantageous, but training will be provided.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities, particularly in space allocation and floorplan design.
  • Strong negotiation skills to maximise space yield and exhibitor satisfaction.
  • High level of attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics) and AutoCAD is advantageous.
  • Understanding of budgets, sales planning, and sales strategy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
