CMA Recruitment Group is recruiting for a rare opportunity to join a well-established and respected technology-led business operating at the forefront of the UK’s Defence and National Security sectors. With an exciting pipeline of acquisitions and a strong financial position, the business is investing in its M&A capability and looking to hire a Corporate Finance Manager to work closely with the Investment Director.

You’ll be joining a small but high-impact team in a role that combines strategic input, ownership of transaction delivery and regular senior stakeholder engagement. This is a client-side position where your work will directly shape the growth of the business and support board-level decision-making.

The business offers hybrid working and can accommodate candidates from Hampshire, Surrey, or Gloucestershire, with occasional travel to their Hampshire site. The wider business is known for its collaborative culture, high staff retention, and meaningful work that contributes to national security.

What will the Corporate Finance Manager role involve?

  • Support the Investment Director across the full transaction lifecycle, from research and deal structuring to execution and post-deal integration
  • Perform market and financial analysis to evaluate acquisition opportunities
  • Lead and coordinate due diligence processes with external advisors
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and business cases to senior stakeholders and executive committees
  • Maintain a network of advisors and partners to support deal flow and origination
  • Provide commercial and financial insight to support broader strategic initiatives
  • Ensure efficient project management of multiple deals simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Suitable Candidate for the Corporate Finance Manager vacancy:

  • Strong background in corporate finance, M&A, due diligence or transaction services, either within practice or an in-house role
  • Comfortable working closely with senior stakeholders and confident presenting at board level
  • Able to operate independently and proactively, particularly during busy transaction phases
  • Analytical mindset with strong financial modelling and commercial evaluation skills
  • Resilient, with an understanding of the variable intensity of transactional work
  • Any exposure to defence, technology, or government-backed sectors is beneficial but not essential
  • Likely to suit candidates operating at Manager or Associate Director level
