An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly capable Financial Director to join a busy manufacturing business based in Southampton.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is a key role responsible for driving financial performance, managing reporting processes, and supporting strategic decision-making across the organisation.
Experience in a transformational finance role would be beneficial. Strong leadership and organisational skills are essential. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to make a significant impact on financial control and overall business direction, while leading and guiding a team to success.
Please note this role is fully office based.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of consolidated monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Analysis of financial performance including variance analysis on invoicing, gross margin, and cash flow
- Support with strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal accounting policies
- Oversee the audit process and liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide financial insights for long-term investment planning and performance monitoring
- Drive continuous improvements in financial systems and reporting processes
- Lead and develop a small finance team
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong background in financial control, reporting, and consolidations
- Proven experience in variance analysis and commercial reporting
- Sound knowledge of IFRS and regulatory compliance
- Confident communicator with excellent analytical skills
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential
