About the Role:

Cover Supervisors are essential to the smooth running of schools, stepping in for absent teachers and ensuring continuity in the classroom. As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise pre-assigned lessons, manage classroom behaviour, and maintain a productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:

* Supervise pre-planned lessons in the absence of regular teachers.* Establish rapport quickly with students.* Implement effective behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.* Be flexible to cover various subjects across KS3, KS4, and KS5.* Ensure students remain on task and complete assigned work.

Requirements to be a Cover Supervisor:

* Hold a UK recognised degree or have relevant experience in a similar role.* Have the right to work in the UK.* Possess a valid enhanced DBS check (preferably issued within the last year or on the update service). If you don't have a DBS, we can help with the application process.* Be local to, or willing to travel to Southampton.
