Are you a confident Independent Prescriber Pharmacist looking to take the lead in a dynamic and patient-focused GP practice? We're offering an exciting locum opportunity based in Southampton, starting this June. If you're ready to make a meaningful impact in primary care, this role is for you.

About the Role:This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a lead clinical role where you'll run your own independent prescribing clinics and manage a wide range of long-term conditions. You'll be working within a supportive GP practice, collaborating closely with GPs, nurses, and the wider MDT to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run structured medication reviews and independent clinics

  • Manage long-term conditions such as asthma, COPD, hypertension, and mental health

  • Deliver prescribing interventions aligned with NICE guidance

  • Contribute to QOF achievement and practice development

  • Maintain accurate clinical records and deliver safe, effective care

Essential Requirements:

  • GPhC-registered Pharmacist

  • Independent Prescriber qualification - this is essential

  • Experience working in a primary care or GP surgery setting

  • Strong clinical knowledge in managing long-term conditions

  • Completed or enrolled on CPPE Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathway (desirable)
