Permanent Teacher of Psychology (Mainly KS5) - Outstanding Southampton School (Psychology Department)

An outstanding school in Southampton is seeking a passionate and dedicated Permanent Teacher of Psychology to join our thriving Psychology Department. This role will primarily focus on delivering engaging and effective lessons at Key Stage 5 (A-Level), with the possibility of some teaching at KS4 (GCSE). You will inspire our Sixth Form students to explore the complexities of the human mind and behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and in-depth Psychology lessons primarily to A-Level students, covering a range of topics and perspectives.
  • Foster a deep and critical understanding of advanced psychological concepts, theories, and research methods.
  • Contribute to the development and enrichment of the A-Level Psychology curriculum within the Psychology Department.
  • Assess and monitor student progress at A-Level, providing expert guidance and support for their academic success and progression to higher education in psychology and related fields.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Psychology Department, sharing best practices in teaching Psychology at the Sixth Form level.
