Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time (term-time only)
Salary: 88.95 - 104.71 per day

We are seeking a caring, patient, and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to work in schools across the Southampton and Hampshire area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children with special educational needs and disabilities.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored support to pupils, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, physical disabilities and social, emotional, and mental health needs.

• Create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment where every child feels valued and supported.

• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, external professionals, and families to promote positive outcomes.

• Support pupils in developing social and emotional skills as well as academic progress.

• Has previous experience working with children or young people with SEND (school-based, care setting or other relevant settings).

• Demonstrates patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
