Position: Teaching Assistant
Location: Primary schools across Southampton
Hours: Full-time or part-time (typically 08:30 – 15:30, with some variation)
Pay Rate: £13.68 per hour

About the Role

At GSL, we work with a network of inclusive, nurturing primary schools in Southampton. We’re looking for dedicated Teaching Assistants to provide high-quality support to students in the classroom—helping them learn, grow, and achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Offering 1:1 or small group support, including for pupils with SEN

  • Supporting the classroom teacher in delivering engaging lessons

  • Encouraging a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

  • Assisting in monitoring student progress and development

  • Working closely with staff and pupils to promote positive learning experiences

  • Opportunities for long-term or permanent placements

What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience working with children, particularly in SEN or primary school settings
