IT Operations Engineer (Contract) – Southampton – £160–£180 per day (Inside IR35)

6-Month Contract | On-site | Immediate Start

We’re looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join a leading brand’s Southampton office.

This is a great opportunity for an IT support professional who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and keeping tech running smoothly in a busy, high-energy environment.

The role:

  • Provide daily IT support to office staff (desktops, laptops, mobile devices, Wi-Fi, printers, AV equipment)
  • Set up and configure Windows and Mac devices
  • Troubleshoot and maintain office networks and hardware
  • Act as the first point of escalation for tech issues
  • Support small tech projects and office fit-outs/upgrades
  • Work closely with wider technology teams across Europe

What we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar IT support / TechOps role
  • Confident supporting Windows 10, Mac OS, and iOS devices
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, networks, and AV setups
  • Microsoft, Cisco, or equivalent certifications (e.g., MCSA, CCNA) are a plus;
  • Familiar with basic networking (Wi-Fi, patch panels, cabling)
  • Great communication skills — able to explain technical issues simply
  • Organised, proactive, and a real team player
  • Familiar with project management principles and ITIL practices
  • Experience with Agile ways of working and tools such as Jira (bonus)
