Your new companyI am looking to recruit four systems specialists to join a global leader in the trade and logistics sector, based in the heart of Southampton. You will be working for a company that expedites and simplifies the import/export process through innovative technology solutions. These roles are hybrid, with an expectation of three days in the office per week in Southampton. Therefore, you will need to be based within a commutable distance. Your new role
- You will configure and specify business applications for deploying and commissioning container terminal equipment.
- Provide daily operational support for the Terminal Operating System, including proactive maintenance and administration.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to gather requirements, provide regular updates, training and support.
- Support the Operations team in identifying performance trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate effectively with the IT Terminal Operating System team to enhance terminal operating systems for end users.
- Identify Terminal Operating System gaps and design solutions to meet business requirements.
- Act as 1st and 2nd line support for TOS-related issues.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in Port Operations, Logistics, or Distribution.
- Familiarity with terminal operating systems such as (Zodiac and Navis - Desirable)
- Ability to convert operational requirements into clear business processes.
- Demonstrable experience managing complex system projects using project management and ticketing tools.
- Experience with system project go-lives and providing frontline support.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Practical application of project coordination with associated qualifications, such as Prince2 (desirable).
