NEOS Engineering is currently recruiting on behalf of a busy and dynamic plant maintenance company based around Southampton. We are looking for a skilled and motivated Heavy Plant Engineer to join their team.
About the Role
As a Heavy Plant Engineer, you’ll play a key role in inspecting, servicing, and repairing a wide range of plant machinery, ensuring all equipment is maintained to the highest standards and ready to meet customer demands. This is a hands-on role, working both independently and as part of a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Work safely and efficiently within the workshop and on customer sites.
- Inspect, repair, and maintain various plant machinery and equipment.
- Carry out servicing according to manufacturer schedules and company standards.
- Deliver high-quality workmanship with attention to detail.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and communicate clearly with management.
- Support a culture of safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in plant maintenance and repair.
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Plant Maintenance or a related discipline — or the motivation to achieve this qualification.
- Personal set of tools suitable for the role.
- Willingness to learn, develop, and take on new challenges.
- Strong communication skills, honesty, and respect for colleagues and customers.
- Flexibility to meet customer needs and adapt to changing priorities.
