An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Freelance Site Manager to lead the delivery of a high-specification CAT A Fit-Out in Southampton. The development is part of a cutting-edge health and innovation campus and involves managing a shared site within a live operational environment.

Project Overview

• The scheme involves the internal fit-out of a newly constructed commercial building to CAT A standard.

• Works will be carried out in a live environment, requiring careful coordination with other contractors and stakeholders.

• The site setup is scheduled to commence on 20th October, with a 35-week delivery programme.

• The building will support future healthcare and research tenants, demanding high-quality finishes and robust infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and programme milestones are met.

• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders across a shared site, maintaining clear communication and site discipline.

• Oversee MEP installations and ensure technical compliance with design specifications.

• Lead site setup and mobilisation, establishing logistics and welfare facilities.

• Maintain strict adherence to health & safety protocols in a live environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience managing fit-out projects in live, multi-contractor environments.

• Strong technical understanding of MEP systems and sequencing.

• SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications 

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and drive programme delivery.
