An established Developer, Owner and Operator of Sustainable assets requires a Development Manager to grow the company through developing projects and assessing acquisitions locally. 

Responsibilities

The Development Manager will have a comprehensive understanding of the industries in which the business operates and will effectively identify and seize creative opportunities for future growth at a strategic level.

These business areas include; CHP, AD, EfW, Solar, Biomass and Waste technology and GreenTech.

  • Understand and evaluate policy, technical and consumer driven trends to help identify future fresh opportunities.
  • Creatively and strategically evaluate opportunities against investment framework.
  • Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to robustly analyse concepts.
  • Present and make recommendations to the Leadership Team and board.
  • Lead technical & consenting aspects of project development & delivery and work collaboratively with the commercial and marketing team for all market aspects.
  • Build relationships with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Mitigate any and all risks associated with the development journey.

Requirements

  • Significant knowledge of projects with in any of;  CHP, AD, Bioenergy, EfW, Solar, new waste technology, and energy-related Greentech. 
  • Ability to deliver presentations to the board for investment approval.
  • A keen interest in renewable energy & sustainability.
  • Comfortable working autonomously but also a strong team player.
  • Internationally mobile.
  • Driven by personal improvement and be pro-active in taking every opportunity to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge.
