We currently have a fantastic opportunity for aFibre Fabricator to join a leading manufacturing company based in Southampton.
Introduction
The primary role of the Fibre Fabricator will involve using specialist equipment tofabricate preforms and prepare glass ready for drawing into fibre.
Fabricating preforms and preparing glass ready for drawing into fibre, this includes:
- Operating machinery and controls
- Following product specification instructions.
Completing and maintaining logs, spreadsheets anddatabases as indicated in work instructions. - Reviewing test data
- Adhering to strict Health & Safety regulations
The ideal candidate will be someone whohas good attention for detail and accuracy,reliable, keen to learn and PC literate. A good understanding of complex machinery and equipment would be beneficial.
Any fibre optics experience is an advantage, however full training too.
Shift Pattern:
Week 1 - Days (4-day week)
Week 2 - Nights 3-day week
Salary:
£33600 which includes the 20% shift uplift.
