This building services design role is to join a highly professional friendly team of specialist design engineers. They are involved in a wide range of projects including schools, office builds, retail, councils, and high spec residential, always maintaining a focus on sustainable design.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out the designs for a diverse range of building services
- To include design from concept to handover, including preparation of drawings, specifications, and all relevant tender documentation.
- Producing drawings (Layouts, Schematics, & Sections),
- To produce estimates as required and formulate budgets for projects as required.
- Working as part of a team to ensure that coordination is achieved.
- Reviewing and commenting on information provided by the client and other members of the professional team.
- Reviewing and commenting on information provided by contactors/sub-contractors.
- Attending and contributing to design team meetings, client meetings, pre-contract and post-contract meetings.
- Guiding junior team members.
Experience Required
- To be successful in this role you will be an experienced mechanical design engineer within building services.
- Experience should include a range of project types.
- Degree qualified and having completed several major projects from inception to competition.
- The motivation to work independently and alongside other disciplines to produce coordinated high-quality designs.
- Production and overseeeing of calculations, schematics, schedules, layout drawings and specifications
