Finance Compliance Analyst

Reed Accountancy are working with a leading manufacturing company near Southampton to recruit a Finance Compliance Analyst, for a 12-month fixed contract. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance and financial accounting tasks are completed timely within the finance function.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Conduct internal control system compliance testing and reporting.
  • Handle import and export control compliance testing and reporting.
  • Manage month-end financial accounting tasks including accruals, prepayments, and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Oversee service charge accounting, including annual budgeting, reporting, and monthly reconciliation processes.
  • Prepare VAT returns and month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Manage accounts receivable and credit control for intercompany and third-party transactions.
  • Process purchase invoices and support automated expenses via Concur.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis or support project responsibilities as required by the Financial Controller.
  • Support finance business partners in improving financial control through compliance and financial accounting findings.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years’ experience in a finance department with computerised accounts.
  • Experience in internal compliance roles, completing compliance testing and reporting to management.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of VAT and customs compliance topics is preferable.
  • AAT qualified, CIMA/ACCA part qualification preferred.
