Product Development Engineer

Our client develops innovative products that shape the future. They manufacture and supply precision-engineered sealing and component solutions across a broad range of industries. They are looking to hire a Product Development Engineer into their business, the role would suit someone that is passionate about engineering, thrives on solving complex challenges, and wants to work directly with customers on cutting-edge projects. This role also offers a defined career and leadership development path.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Drive end-to-end product development from concept to launch
  • Design and create tools, drawings, and components using SolidWorks
  • Program and optimize machining processes with FeatureCAM (or similar)
  • Conduct tool trials, lifecycle testing, and high-level inspections (CMM / ISIR / FAIRs)
  • Develop work instructions and lead customer communications for R&D projects
  • Support non-conformance investigations and continuous improvement initiatives



Experience:

  • Expertise in SolidWorks, machining principles, and tool design
  • Skilled in FeatureCAM or similar CAM software
  • A natural leader and mentor with excellent communication skills
  • Advanced IT skills - Excel, presentations, data systems
  • Engineering qualifications: Time-served apprenticeship, HNC/HND/BSc
  • Desirable: Experience in rubber moulding technology
