Senior Quantity Surveyor
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senor Quantity Surveyor to join an established main contractor based in Southampton. The business has a national presence and operates out of several regional offices across the UK. They undertake projects across a range of sectors including education, healthcare, leisure and commercial with projects valuing up to of 40mil.
About this Senior Quantity Surveyor role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a national main contractor and run one of their upcoming schemes. As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for managing a project from pre-construction through to final account and client handover. You will be responsible for client facing and may have a junior surveyor reporting into you.
Key Responsibilities as Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- Be involved in 2-nd stage tender process
- Take ownership of all procurement activities
- Manage sub-contract packages dealing with any variations and valuations
- Deal with final accounts
- Conduct monthly CVRs
- Support / mentor junior members of staff
Requirements for this Senior Quantity Surveyor role:
- HNC / Degree qualified (Quantity Surveying or Construction Management is preferential)
- Have a proven track record of administering JCT forms of contract (NEC is beneficial)
- Have managed projects valuing up to 15mil
- Live within Hampshire and be happy to commute to site / office
