Job description:
Business Development Manager – Events & Exhibitions
Location: Ringwood, Hampshire (Hybrid – Bournemouth, Salisbury, Southampton)
Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Company
Join a leading, award-winning exhibitions and events agency with a reputation for delivering creative, high-quality solutions for clients worldwide. From bespoke stands to immersive brand experiences, our client works across exciting sectors — including health, fitness, and beyond.
This is more than just a sales role. It’s an opportunity to travel internationally, develop relationships with global brands, and play a key role in shaping the future of the events industry.

The Role
We’re looking for an ambitious and driven Business Development Manager to identify opportunities, win new business, and grow revenue streams. You’ll work closely with the Sales Director, supported by talented design and project teams, to turn ideas into commercially successful projects. While experience in exhibitions or events is a bonus, it’s not essential — what matters most is your sales expertise, strategic thinking, and ability to build lasting client relationships

Key Responsibilities
•    Research and target new markets, developing impactful sales campaigns in partnership with the Sales Director.
•    Own your revenue streams — create effective sales strategies, track performance, and provide accurate forecasts.
•    Lead the sales process from initial inquiry through to final presentation, collaborating with creative and delivery teams.
•    Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring excellent account management and long-term retention.
•    Drive sustainable revenue growth in new and emerging markets.
•    Balance office-based work, home working, and international travel.

About You
•    Proven track record in business development or sales, ideally in a B2B environment.
•    Confident communicator with strong presentation and negotiation skills.
•    Strategic thinker with the ability to spot and maximise opportunities.
•    Highly organised, self-motivated, and target-driven.
•    Willing to travel in the UK and overseas.

Benefits
•    Hybrid working arrangement
•    International travel opportunities
•    Career development in a fast-growing, creative industry

Benefits:
•    Company pension
•    On-site parking
•    Work from home

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Southampton SO14 0AH
