Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and effective English lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of our students across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5, reflecting the cultural richness of Southampton.
  • Developing students' skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening, fostering a love of language and literature.
  • Assessing and tracking student progress in English, providing constructive feedback, and implementing effective intervention strategies where necessary.
  • Contributing to the development, implementation, and review of the English curriculum, ensuring alignment with the National Curriculum and relevant examination specifications.
