Position: English Teacher Location: New Forest Secondary School
Start Date: January 2026 Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term (until Easter, with potential to continue until July 2026)
Pay Range: £165 – £250 per day Working Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm
About the RoleWe are seeking a committed English Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in the New Forest from January 2026. This Ofsted-rated Good school is looking for a teacher to deliver English across Key Stages 3 and 4 within a supportive and collaborative department.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to make a real impact, working in a school that values both academic achievement and pupil wellbeing. The role will run until Easter, with the possibility of extension until July 2026.
What You’ll Be Doing- Teaching English to students across KS3 and KS4
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire and challenge learners
- Assessing, marking, and tracking student progress in line with curriculum standards
- Collaborating with a supportive English department to share resources and best practice
- Contributing to the wider school community and extracurricular activities

What We’re Looking For- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Recent experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for English language and literature
- A reflective, motivated teacher committed to continuous improvement
