Quantum Scholars are delighted to be working with a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Southampton, which is currently seeking a full-time, permanent English Teacher to join its dedicated English department from January 2026.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing effective feedback

  • Contribute to curriculum development within the department

  • Take part in whole-school initiatives and CPD activities

  • Support the school's ethos of inclusion, aspiration, and respect



Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Proven experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3 and KS4)

  • A passion for English literature and language, with the ability to inspire students

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • Availability to start from January 2026 on a full-time, permanent basis
