Specialist Mentor Mental Health
Randstad Student Support seeks highly qualified Specialist Mentors to provide comprehensive academic and well-being support to university students in Southampton Solent with disabilities or mental health conditions. This hybrid role, commencing September 2025, requires both in-person and online sessions, tailored to student needs. Mentors will guide students in time management, task breakdown, stress management, and confidence-building, fostering independent learning. This is a crucial role requiring adherence to the DfE framework for DSA-funded students.

ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 support to students; assist with organization, time management, stress reduction, and confidence building. Maintain confidentiality, timely reporting to Randstad, and professional conduct. Adhere to the DfE framework for DSA-funded students.
Qualifications (Any one of the following)Membership with BACP, BPS, HCPC, NCPS, NMC, SWE, SCW, UMHAN, or COSCA is mandatory. Experience working with students with disabilities or mental health conditions is highly desirable. Excellent communication, organisational, and caseload management skills are essential.
