Software Developer

Hybrid - 2 days per week in the Southampton Office£40,000 - £45,000

C# Software Developer required to work alongside one of our long-standing clients who are a legal firm based in the Hampshire region. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications, integration's, and reports. Working closely with the Senior Software Developer and end users to ensure solutions meet business needs, enhance processes, and follow development standards. Duties will include fixing bugs, implementing changes, and creating new software to improve user experience and efficiency.

Main Duties of the Role

  • Researching, designing, coding, testing and release of in-house software ensuring it is fit for purpose and use.
  • Developing, testing, release and on-going maintenance of an integration framework for the company's systems and external parties such as Clients.
  • Creation and on-going management of reports.
  • Design, maintenance and administration of databases.
  • Ensuring the in-house software and integration's are developed in line with information security best practices.
  • Working with Senior Software Developer and business users to understand requirements.
  • Close liaison with the project manager or project managers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of defined solutions.
  • Assisting in highlighting improvements to department's business processes and methodologies through the application of software / integration.
  • Creation and delivery of technical documentation, such as requirements specification and design documentation.
  • Providing software support to team members and / or the IT outsource provider as part of the release process and handover

About You

  • 2 Years commercial experience working with C# .Net, MVC, Javascript
  • Experience working with SQL, Visual Studios, Microsoft Active Directory,
  • Experience in Database Administration
  • Design, maintenance and administration of databases.
  • Experience in project work, including the implementation of new applications/services, new IT systems and process
  • Knowledge of Agile and Scrum Practices
  • Working experience in a law/legal firm (desirable, not essential)
