SEND Teaching Assistant – Special Needs School, Southampton

Start Date: ASAP / January 2026 | Hours: Full-time | Pay: £88 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

Role:

We are seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to join the school team on a long term contract either starting ASAP or from January 2026. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to assist students with additional needs, helping them access the curriculum and develop key skills. Your role will involve supporting learning in the classroom, assisting with personal care when required, and fostering independence and confidence in students.

Key Responsibilities:

Support students with additional needs in lessons and activities

Assist with classroom management and differentiated learning

Requirements:

Experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEND)

Understanding of inclusive teaching strategies
