The Role:
As Managing Surveyor, you’ll take full commercial ownership of the scheme from early stages through to final account. You’ll lead a dedicated commercial team, manage subcontractor procurement, reporting, cost control, and ensure the financial success of the project in line with business expectations.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all commercial aspects of the project lifecycle

Lead a team of project surveyors, offering mentorship and strategic direction

Drive procurement strategy and value engineering exercises

Maintain detailed cost reports, forecasts, and risk assessments

Interface with operations, design, and client teams to support project delivery

Report directly into a Regional Commercial Director
What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in a Senior or Managing QS role with a Tier 1 or established main contractor

Strong contractual knowledge (JCT/Design & Build)

Experience on high-value residential, student accommodation, or mixed-use schemes

Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills

A proactive, detail-focused mindset with a drive for delivery and accountability
