Berry Recruitment are looking for a Cleansing Operative with a driving license to start ASAP in Southampton for a local authority.

Purpose of the role is to provide flexible and responsive support to both the Neighbourhood Warden and Cleaning teams in maintaining clean, safe and welcoming community environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to requests from Senior Neighbourhood Wardens and Cleaning Supervisors to assist with operational tasks.
  • Support Neighbourhood Wardens with physical duties, including the removal and disposal of waste items at designated facilities.
  • Assist the Cleaning Team with responsive cleaning tasks and catch-up work to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  • Provide cover for cleaning staff during periods of absence to ensure continuity of service.
  • Work collaboratively across teams to uphold the clients commitment to community well being and environmental care.

The job can involve heavy lifting and can can be physical. Must have a clean driving license and experience driving 3.5t vehicles.
