Driver Hire Southampton is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an HGV Technician to Join a company in the public sector, Our client is open to both experienced and newly qualified individuals. We're looking for a hands-on professional with a strong safety-first mindset, a keen eye for detail, and a drive to build a long-term career.
What's on Offer:
- Temp-to-Perm role - with permanent employment after 12 weeks
- Mon-Thurs: 08:00-16:30
- Fri: 08:00-16:00
- Key Responsibilities:
- Servicing, maintenance, and repair of HGVs
- Ensuring all work is carried out to high safety and quality standards
Requirements:
- Qualification: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (apprenticeship-trained applicants welcome)
- Licence: HGV or D1 (Minibus) licence preferred, but not essential
- Transport: Own transport is essential for commuting
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Understanding of manual handling and heavy lifting procedures
- Commitment to health and safety practices
