The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a CDP, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of taste and presentation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning food items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
- Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned after use.
Skills
- Proven experience in meal preparation within a restaurant or commercial kitchen setting.
- Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food preparation.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
