We're currently recruiting for a skilled and reliable CSCS Labourer / Traffic Marshall to join a local contractor on a long-term social housing project in Southend-on-Sea. Working with a leading name in the sector, you'll play a key role in keeping the site running smoothly and safely as part of a dedicated crew improving homes and communities.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitating the preparation and clearance of work areas, including removing waste and unused materials.
- Loading and unloading deliveries and distributing materials to the appropriate locations on site
- Erecting and dismantling basic temporary protection (e.g., dust sheets, signage) within residential settings
- Ensuring communal and work areas are kept clean, organised, and hazard free-particularly in occupied properties.
- Reporting any site hazards, maintenance concerns, or safety issues to the site manager promptly.
- Safely directing and coordinating the movement of delivery vehicles, plant, and machinery on site.
- Monitoring entry and exit to the site, checking for valid access cards or permits where necessary.
- Communicating clearly with drivers and site staff using hand signals, radios, or other approved methods.
Requirements:
- CSCS Green Card
- Traffic Marshall/Banksman ticket
