Salary: 41,000 - 47,500 + car/car allowance

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Taylor Woodrow is seeking a skilled and motivated Section Engineer to join the team on our new Queensway infrastructure project in Southend. This is a key role responsible for managing sections of work efficiently, safely, and to high-quality standards.



Key Responsibilities:



Project & Construction Management

  • Plan short-term works and manage daily delivery

  • Allocate tasks to Site Engineers and oversee performance

  • Collaborate with Foremen on labour, materials, and plant



Quality Assurance

  • Promote the use of ITPs, check sheets, and redline drawings

  • Conduct inspections and ensure full compliance with specifications



Engineering & Technical

  • Provide engineering solutions and support design development

  • Identify opportunities to improve construction methods

  • Contribute to LEAN initiatives and efficiency gains



Commercial & Digital Awareness

  • Monitor productivity and ensure budget adherence

  • Support BIM Level 2 standards and digital construction methods



Person Specification:

  • Proven experience as a Section Engineer on infrastructure or complex construction projects

  • Solid understanding of temporary works, sequencing, and quality assurance

  • Experience managing small teams and sub-contractor interfaces

  • Proficiency in setting out and digital construction tools

  • Commercial awareness and decision-making capability

  • Knowledge of LEAN principles and BIM standards

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Right to work in the UK
