SEND Lead of Statutory SEND - Local Authority based in Essex

Permanent Contract

Salary: £65000 - £69000

Hybrid working - 1 or 2 days a week on site.

What we need from you:

This post is one of the most senior specialist SEND roles within the council with delegated responsibilities of the Head of SEND Assessment, Access and Inclusion for the SEND Statutory duties.

As the delegated officer responsible for ensuring the Council meets its SEND statutory duties, the post holder is responsible for:

  • providing strategic leadership and operational management of Statutory SEND Assessment and Review service
  • acting as strategic lead for external inspections
  • acting as strategic lead for any safeguarding case reviews, and leading on embedding best practice

Must Have:

  • Experience of working at a senior level in a SEND Related Role
  • Experience of responsibility for delivery of the statutory assessment process in a school or early years setting or with a Local Authority
