About the Role:
One to One Personnel have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced Paralegal to join an established Dispute Resolution Department in Southend-on-Sea. This role is ideal for a professional with post-qualification experience (PQE) in litigation, although candidates with more experience will also be considered.
As part of the Litigation Team, you will play a key role in managing complex cases, supporting solicitors, and ensuring high-quality legal services for the clients. You will be expected to work proactively, contribute effectively to the team, and maintain a high standard of client care.
Key responsibilities:
- Handling and managing caseloads with a high degree of autonomy
- Assisting with legal research, drafting legal documents, and preparing case strategies
- Supporting solicitors in litigation proceedings and dispute resolution
- Communicating effectively with clients, witnesses, and other legal professionals
- Ensuring compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements
- Providing administrative and legal support to the department
Key experience required:
Essential:
- Residential possession proceedings
- Residential Landlord and Tenant disputes
Desirable:
- Contract disputes
- Debt recovery
- Land disputes (e.g., trespass, easements)
- Contentious probate
- Employment law
