We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer with a background in Electronics to join a highly established Aerospace manufacturer. The successful candidate will undertake manufacturing engineering tasks related to the development and production of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies. This role is integral in supporting the Engineering Department to ensure manufacturability of new design solutions and assisting in the development of new projects and technologies.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Support the development and production of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Ensure manufacturability of new design solutions and assist in the development of new projects.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Department to integrate new technologies into production.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing Principles to optimize production processes.
  • Work under pressure to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum BTEC Level 3 in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in a low to medium volume electronics production environment, including surface mount, PTH, PCBA cleaning, and conformal coating.
  • Practical experience with Lean Manufacturing Principles.
  • Proficiency in Windows operating system and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong foundation in electronic engineering principles from a practical background.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Capability to handle pressure and meet deadlines effectively.
