We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer with a background in Electronics to join a highly established Aerospace manufacturer. The successful candidate will undertake manufacturing engineering tasks related to the development and production of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies. This role is integral in supporting the Engineering Department to ensure manufacturability of new design solutions and assisting in the development of new projects and technologies.
Day-to-day of the role:- Support the development and production of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Ensure manufacturability of new design solutions and assist in the development of new projects.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Department to integrate new technologies into production.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing Principles to optimize production processes.
- Work under pressure to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Minimum BTEC Level 3 in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in a low to medium volume electronics production environment, including surface mount, PTH, PCBA cleaning, and conformal coating.
- Practical experience with Lean Manufacturing Principles.
- Proficiency in Windows operating system and Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong foundation in electronic engineering principles from a practical background.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Capability to handle pressure and meet deadlines effectively.
- Competitive salary up to £49,000 per annum.
