Your new roleBeecroft Art Gallery in Southend-on-Sea has an exciting opportunity for a Collections Administration and Marketing Assistant to join the gallery as part of a project to deliver a major collection move. This is on a full-time, agency basis until April 2026.

The main purpose of the post is to support the Museum Collection's Team with administrative and documentation duties, relating to the move of Southend's extensive museum collection, as well as producing marketing and communications content that will be shared across a range of digital channels, to showcase Southend's incredible heritage.The main duties will include scheduling diaries, liaising with external suppliers, creating social media posts and supporting collections' management.This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with a marketing, cultural and/or museum, galleries background, who have an aptitude for administration.

Please note that as part of the interview, there will be a short-written exercise to demonstrate competent marketing skills.

What you'll need to succeedThe successful candidate should have a passion for the arts, heritage, and museums as well as have a strong administration background.

You must have a good level of understanding of MS365 applications and competence in utilising social media platforms.You will need to be organised with a strong attention to detail, and have good written and verbal communication skills, as well as be confident in working as part of a team, engaging with stakeholders from a range of different backgrounds and comfortable engaging with members of our community.
