Are you a skilled and creative Design & Technology Teacher looking for an exciting new role this September 2025? We are seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join our thriving secondary schools in Southend on sea, delivering high-quality D&T education to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The Role:

As a Design & Technology Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in a range of D&T disciplines, including product design, resistant materials, and CAD/CAM.

  • Inspire students to think creatively, solve problems, and develop hands-on technical skills.

  • Prepare students for GCSE exams, ensuring strong theoretical and practical understanding.

  • Encourage innovation and critical thinking through practical projects and design challenges.

  • Maintain a safe, stimulating, and well-organised workshop/classroom environment.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development and cross-curricular links.

Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Proven experience teaching Design & Technology at secondary level.

  • Strong subject knowledge across multiple D&T specialisms.

  • Excellent classroom management and the ability to engage and motivate students.

  • A proactive attitude towards health and safety in practical teaching spaces.
