Freight Forwarding Specialist

Reed Shipping are currently working in partnership with a well-established, managed owned freight forwarding business with a strong reputation for excellence and reliability. Their team is dedicated to providing top-notch logistics solutions to our clients, ensuring their goods are transported efficiently and safely. Our client is looking for a motivated and experienced Freight Forwarding Specialist to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordination: Manage the end-to-end process of freight forwarding, including booking shipments, preparing documentation, and coordinating with carriers and clients.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring timely updates on shipment status.
  • Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, suppliers, and other logistics partners to ensure smooth operations.
  • Compliance: Ensure all shipments comply with international trade regulations and company policies.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues or delays in the shipping process, keeping all stakeholders informed.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices, and other relevant documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in freight forwarding or logistics.
