Are you a passionate and dedicated ICT Teacher with a strong commitment to supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Are you looking for a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent?

TeacherActive is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established specialist independent school in West Lancashire, renowned for its inclusive approach and therapeutic environment. The school supports children and young people aged 5–19 with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, and associated social, emotional and mental health challenges.

We are currently recruiting for a SEND ICT Teacher to join their exceptional team from September 2025 on a long-term temporary basis, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.

The Role:
  • Delivering creative and differentiated ICT lessons to students aged 11–16

  • Collaborating with specialist support staff to deliver a tailored curriculum

  • Building positive relationships with pupils, promoting confidence and independence

  • Adapting teaching to meet the needs of students with Autism, ADHD, and other SEND

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)essential

  • Experience teaching ICT, ideally in a SEND or inclusive setting

  • Knowledge or experience supporting students with Autism and ADHD – advantageous

  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills

  • A patient, flexible, and resilient approach

  • ECTs (Early Career Teachers) are welcome to apply
