About the Role:
Are you a passionate and qualified Science Teacher looking for your next opportunity? We are working with a reputable secondary school in Southport who is seeking an enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified teacher.
As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for:
- Teaching Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Developing and delivering engaging and creative lessons that promote student participation and understanding.
- Planning and preparing lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners, ensuring all students make progress.
- Assessing student work and providing constructive feedback to guide their development.
- Managing classroom behaviour and creating a positive learning environment.
- Supporting the development of students' scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and practical skills.
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure consistent delivery of the Science curriculum.
- Contributing to school life and participating in extracurricular science activities.
About You:
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) with a specialism in Science.
- Have experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Be passionate about inspiring students to achieve in Science and fostering a love for the subject.
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Be enthusiastic, creative, and adaptable to different teaching settings and student needs.
- Have strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Hold a valid DBS check or be willing to apply for one.
