Quality Technician
Location: Southwater, West Sussex
Salary: £30,000 - £35,500 per annum
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quality Technician to join a specialist manufacturing team, playing a vital role in ensuring compliance, quality, and continuous improvement across operations. As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting incoming materials, conducting first article inspections, and supporting internal and supplier audits to ISO standards.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be directly involved in quality processes, working with suppliers, resolving non-conformances, and contributing to improvements that enhance product performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct incoming material inspections and process transactions through ERP systems.
- Complete first article inspections (FAI) and produce detailed reports.
- Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), liaising internally and with suppliers.
- Support internal and supplier audits in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
- Prepare and update departmental quality reports and KPIs.
- Contribute to corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You:
- Previous experience in a Quality-focused role within manufacturing.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
- Familiar with mechanical, electro-mechanical, or electronic components.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
- Good IT proficiency, particularly Microsoft Office; SharePoint experience advantageous.
- A proactive and confident team player with good communication skills.
