Pay: 13.85 per hour, paid weekly AND holiday pay accrued for later payout

Working Pattern: Hybrid - 3 days in the office, 2 days from home (if preferred)

We are seeking an experienced Personal Assistant, Secretary, or Senior Administrator to provide high-level administrative and secretarial support on an interim basis. This role is ideal for someone with a background in Higher Education Institutions (HEI) who can hit the ground running and deliver exceptional support to a team of managers.



Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for designated senior academic staff, managing emails, calls, and correspondence with professionalism and discretion.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support, ensuring key deadlines are met and tasks tracked to completion using Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, Word, SharePoint, Teams).
  • Maintain effective document storage and information systems via SharePoint/Teams.
  • Manage diaries and schedules, arrange meetings (internal/external/UK/international), and prepare documentation.
  • Organise national and international travel arrangements.
  • Support School committees and working groups: arrange facilities, take minutes, maintain records, and track actions.
  • Collate information for reports, presentations, and projects.
  • Work collaboratively across School administration networks to deliver shared objectives.
  • Represent the School at University-wide events (e.g., Open Days, Graduation).


About you!

  • Previous experience in a PA, Secretary, or Senior Administrator role within Higher Education.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
