Future Prospects Group are delighted to be working with our client from within the construction industry who are actively recruiting for a Estimator (Drilling and Grouting) on a full-time, permanent basis to join their team.

As an Estimator you will responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and proposals for a wide range of drilling and grouting projects.

THE ROLE

Your responsibilities as an Estimator (Drilling and Grouting) will include:

  • Pricing all drilling and grouting projects and preparing accurate estimates and tenders.
  • Maximise commercial potential by liaising with other teams ensuring uniformity of all tender submissions to clients.
  • Carry out technical appraisal and design calculations to satisfy AGE management.
  • Initial appraisal of bid documentation and establishment of appropriate bid strategies with Bid Manager from earliest possible stage.
  • To ensure technical and contractual completeness of the enquiry file before hand-over with internal stakeholders to ensure and maintain efficient and effective communication to the operational delivery teams.
THE CANDIDATE

The ideal Estimator (Drilling and Grouting) will be able to demonstrate the following key skills and experience:

  • HNC / Degree in Construction, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience pricing drilling and grouting project estimating
  • Strong understanding of drilling techniques (e.g., rotary, jet, or auger drilling) and grouting methods (e.g., pressure, compaction, chemical, or permeation grouting).
  • Progression towards membership of a recognised professional body (RICS, CIOB, ICE, IMechE)
  • Excellent all-round experience of estimating procedures through the life of an estimate, through submission, post tender procedure, award and handover to the operations team.
  • Ability to lead complex/multi trade tenders through the settlement process.
