Job Title: Forklift Truck (FLT) Driver

Job Purpose

To support warehouse and logistics operations by safely operating a forklift truck to move, load, unload, and store goods efficiently while maintaining high standards of health, safety, and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate forklift trucks (Counterbalance, Reach, or other types as required) safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload vehicles, ensuring goods are handled with care and accuracy.
  • Move stock to designated storage locations, following warehouse layout and stock rotation procedures.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch when required.
  • Carry out routine equipment checks and report any faults or defects immediately.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the warehouse and yard areas.
  • Accurately complete paperwork and update warehouse management systems (WMS) where necessary.
  • Support general warehouse duties when not operating an FLT.

Skills & Experience

  • Valid and in-date FLT licence (Counterbalance and/or Reach as required).
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment desirable.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
