We urgently require a dedicated SEMH Specialist with a focus on Science to join our dynamic team. Our school is deeply committed to providing a holistic education that nurtures personal growth and societal values such as respect, honesty, and independence.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver personalised Science education programmes tailored to the SEMH needs of individual students.
- Adapt Science curriculum based on initial assessments to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Engage students in a blend of classroom-based and extracurricular Science activities, ensuring a comprehensive educational experience.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and support staff to design and implement inspiring Science lessons.
- Assess student progress continually, adjusting teaching methods and materials to optimise learning outcomes.
- Promote a supportive and inclusive learning environment that celebrates diversity and fosters respectful relationships.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialisation in Science.
- Proven experience in teaching or supporting students with SEMH.
- In-depth understanding of the educational challenges faced by students with additional needs.
- Capability to develop and adapt educational materials to cater to diverse learning requirements.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, colleagues, and parents.
- A strong commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of Science education.
