Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (Depending on Experience)

Are you ready to inspire the next generation of critical thinkers? If so, GSL Education are currently seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Sociology Teacher to join a forward-thinking school in Spalding.
As a Sociology Teacher, you will deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons to KS4 and KS5 students, helping them explore human behaviour, social structures, and key contemporary issues. You will foster curiosity, critical thinking, and empathy, equipping students with the tools to understand and question the world around them.
Responsibilities of the Sociology Teacher:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, curriculum-aligned lessons in Sociology.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and debate.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to support achievement.
- Use a range of teaching strategies to engage learners of all abilities.
- Collaborate with colleagues on planning, assessments, and enrichment opportunities.
- Contribute to wider school life, including parents’ evenings and extracurricular
Sociology Teacher Skills & Qualification:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
- A degree in Sociology or a related field.
- Experience teaching Sociology in a school setting.
- Strong classroom management skills and a passion for the subject.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
