Production Supervisor – Food Manufacturing
Spalding | £30,000 - £35,000 | 3’s & 2’s (06:00–18:00) | Permanent | Site-Based

If you're a Production Supervisor who prefers being on the floor over being behind a desk – this might be your next move.

This Production Supervisor role is all about leading from the front. You’ll be running shifts, managing a team, solving problems in real-time, and making sure everything from start-up to handover runs like it should.

You know what factory life’s like – fast, pressured, full of curveballs. And as Production Supervisor, you’ll be the one keeping your area on track when plans inevitably change.

This is a 3’s & 2’s shift pattern (06:00–18:00), known as the Blue Shift. It’s not for everyone, but it gives you long weekends every other week – and once you're into the rhythm, it works.

What a Production Supervisor actually does here:
  • Lead the team. Own the shift. Fix the issues.

  • Make sure labour, materials and machines are all lined up at the start.

  • Be visible – not just during start-up and shutdown, but throughout the shift.

  • Handle team briefings, performance chats, return-to-works and handovers.

  • Hit your KPIs while keeping safety and quality rock solid.

  • Identify weak spots, support your team, and drive improvements.

What kind of Production Supervisor are we looking for?
  • You’ve worked in food production and managed teams – probably as a Production Supervisor or Team Leader already.

  • You get that “good enough” doesn’t cut it in this environment.

  • You know how to lead under pressure, keep people motivated and standards high.

  • You’re not afraid to challenge underperformance – but you do it the right way.

  • Most of all, you’re hands-on, switched-on, and committed to making your area run better every single day.

What’s in it for you?
  • £30,000 – £35,000 salary (depending on experience)

  • 22 days holiday

  • Life assurance & pension scheme

  • Staff shop with discounted products

  • Perks platform with discounts across retailers

  • Optional extras (dental, insurance, hospital cash plans)

  • Support with mortgages, financial wellbeing, and even tutoring for your kids

  • Free on-site parking

And here's the bit most ads don’t tell you: this company genuinely promotes from within. If you’re a strong Production Supervisor, you’ll have opportunities to step up into bigger roles. They don’t wait around – they move good people fast.

You’ll be trusted to do the job. You’ll be expected to deliver. And you’ll have the backing to grow.
