Field Inspection Engineer

Location: St Ives, Cambridgeshire but working across the UK at client’ facilities

Hours: Monday- Friday, 40 hours per week

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Benefits: 22 days holiday- rising to 25 days after 1 year service + 8 bank holidays, annual bonus based on company performance- up to 10%, yearly salary review, NEST pension, company van and fuel card, laptop and mobile phone, cycle to work scheme, death in service scheme 3x annual salary.

We’re looking for a Field Based Engineer to travel across the UK, inspecting mechanical and pressure systems and keeping clients compliant and confident!

We are seeking candidates who have experience in inspecting and maintaining plant equipment/mechanical systems who are looking for a new challenge!

You'll carry out thorough site inspections, spot potential issues before they escalate, and ensure everything meets the standards of PSSR 2000. It's a hands-on, people-facing role with plenty of variety – no two days are the same!

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in inspecting and maintaining mechanical plant equipment
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently on site
  • Comfortable with regular UK-wide travel and overnight stays when required
  • Full UK driving licence
