35,000 - 40,000 (starting salary of 35,000 with a progression plan increasing to 40,000)

Our client is a well-established engineering firm specialising in innovative sheet metal solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of their customers. They're on the lookout for a design engineer with a sheet metal background, who's proficient with Inventor and Radan. It's a great chance for someone who loves design and wants to be part of a close-knit team, within a growing company.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using Autodesk Inventor and Radan
  • Translate initial concepts into production-ready designs
  • Participate in shop floor training to understand product assembly and improve design-for-manufacture
  • Organise and manage design files using Inventor Vault in collaboration with the wider team
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance productivity and product quality
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and installers to resolve design queries and tailor solutions
  • Collaborate closely with the Design Manager and fellow Design Engineers
  • Contribute to reducing reliance on outsourced design work by strengthening in-house capabilities

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Must have experience within sheet metal design
  • Must have used Autodesk Inventor (Ideally 3+ years)
  • Must have working knowledge of Radan
  • Must have the ability to work well within a team
